It’s been a few months since Vera moved into the clubhouse. She’s taken it upon herself to not only whip us old dogs into shape but become everything I ever dreamed of. I am proud to call her mine. Not ashamed to say that my brothers and I haven’t always taken the best care of ourselves. We thought we were doing good, having Magda and the club girls cook three meals a day for us. According to my woman, the shit being cooked isn’t always the best for growing boys. The relief on Magda’s face said it all. Magda looked relieved as fuck that someone else was going to be in charge of feeding our asses. She’s said she only does it because otherwise we’d starve or be as big as houses and she hates dealing with the club girls in the kitchen.

V has taken over the kitchen, and not a damn one of us is complaining. Magda still helps out here and there, and she seems happier with my girl around. And it’s nice to know that Mags has someone she can hand with and talk to. I catch the two of them cackling link hens in a hen house a lot, and it makes me happy as shit.

V's got all the brothers wrapped around her finger. As the first lady, she has their respect because of me. My men, my brothers, respect me, but it’s more than that. She’s earned their loyalty because of who she is and how she is with all of us.

Currently, though, she is ignoring me right now.

Sitting in the bar watching my girl as she deals with a “situation” between my brother Tommy Boy and his ol’ lady Nancy. Drinking my beer, I’m trying to hide my smile. Watching V, I can tell her patience is beginning to wane. I’d warned Tommy Boy to keep his exploits out of the common room until his shit was handled, but the dumb ass didn’t listen.

Now he’s getting his ass handed to him in front of a few of the brothers and club girls. Usually, I wouldn’t, and as Prez, I shouldn’t allow it. In this instance and with this situation, I keep my trap shut. Tommy Boy is in the wrong. It's fucked up how he’s dealing with this shit.

Vera and I have our issues at the moment, and she’s been ignoring me the last few days. And it all stems from me explaining to her that things in the club are not as they are in the civilian world. We play by a different set of rules, and the women in the club should know that, of course, the way I said it didn’t go over well. Our ways are set, as are the rules when it comes to how we treat our women. I don’t always agree with them. But the brothers' personal lives are their own. As long as they don’t affect the club, I tend to stay out of it.
